About Me

Jen Corcoran writing in a lined notebook at a wooden table with a pencil. There is a container of colored pencils and some notebooks on the table.

Growing up immersed in the public education system, I developed a deep appreciation for the power of education, a value that was profoundly important to my family. I believe education is a gateway to experiences, knowledge, careers, and global awareness, fostering a well-rounded individual with diverse hobbies, interests, empathy, passions, and relationships to make positive change around them.

Over my 20+ year career as an educator, I have served as a learning center teacher for grades 6-8, a classroom teacher for grade 5, teaching assistant in residential school for developmentally and intellectually disabled children and young adults, history teacher for grades 6-8, assistant principal intern, an executive functioning coach, an academic evaluator and educational advocate for families.

As a mother of two (one being a student who receives special education services), I have personally navigated the challenges of securing the necessary support needed. This journey deepens my understanding of the uphill battles families often face and reinforce the importance of a strong support team. I can be your special education guru and guide, as a part of your student’s team.

I look forward to meeting you.

I offer everyone complimentary 60-minute introductory consultations so that we have time to get to know one another as you gush a bit about your child and we explore your areas of concern and how my services can help your student.
